Money, Power, Liberation: Reimagining Funding for Feminist Struggles
Feminist soirée
Tuesday 14 October | 15:00 CEST | Zoom
Description
Across Europe and the world, women's rights are under attack from multiple sources, Feminism faces a sharp backlash online and offline, and calls for gender justice are met with generalized apathy among policymakers. But far from patiently waiting for these issues to return to public attention and climb back onto the political agenda by themselves, Feminist activists continue to work tirelessly to organize, sensitize, and mobilize. And it's getting results — amid a generally bleak picture there are plenty of glimmers of hope and sparks of inspiration from women's movements who've achieved incredible successes against massive odds.
You're invited to our second feminist soirée, an intimate online conversation among European feminist organizers and campaigners. At this event we'll be talking all things money — how can Feminists effectively communicate their needs for resources and raise funds effectively to support their struggles. We'll hear from trailblazing Feminist campaigners and fundraisers about their experiences and insights. We'll look at best practices as well as the pitfalls to avoid. Join us!
